About Us
Van Khoa Vietnamese Language School is a Melbourne-based community language school that has been proudly teaching Vietnamese language and culture to students since our establishment in 1984.
We offer a classes to students from Prep to Year 10, as well as VCE Year 11 and 12 classes in VCE Vietnamese Second Language.
Our staff are all native-speakers who are both dedicated and experienced at teaching Vietnamese to students. Our comprehensive curriculum covers all the skills including reading, writing, listening and speaking.
At Van Khoa Vietnamese Language School we are passionate about teaching Vietnamese and Vietnamese culture to the next generation.

Our History
Van Khoa Vietnamese Language School was established in 1984 by a number of Vietnamese students and members of the Hoa Nien youth newspaper. At that time, Van Khoa Vietnamese Language School was named the Richmond Vietnamese Language School. We strived to create a vibrant environment to maintain and promote Vietnamese culture overseas. In this spirit, parents in the Richmond area and neighbouring areas brought their children to learn Vietnamese.
When the school was first established, there were only about 10 students attending. But soon, the school was moved from a small room in apartment 106 in Richmond to Richmond West Elementary School.
Richmond Vietnamese Language School was officially renamed the Van Khoa Vietnamese Language School in 1996.
The development and success of Van Khoa Vietnamese Language School has been due to the tireless efforts of parents, teaching staff and members of the school.
